In our ever materialistic society, brand names have become a symbol of status, wealth, and of course popularity. Unfortunately people use these empty names in an attempt to define themselves as well as to fit in. The ugly truth however, is that these brand names and items are just that - mere items, incapable of inserting some sort of meaning or self knowledge into our lives. Yet we persist, sure that somehow a name brand item will make us more popular and likable and define who we are.
