| With over four million Iraqis displaced, tens if not hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed (mostly civilian), thousands of U.S. soldiers killed, continuing violence, an emerging humanitarian crisis, and common practices of torture and abuse of detainees, the War in Iraq can hardly be called successful. It has cost the United States $500 billion, and the final bill could exceed $3 trillion. And let’s not forget the blight it has put on the face of America, this war will not be remembered kindly by the international community.
