| Thousands of ordinary hard working Americans are displaced from their homes every year. Many of them hold down steady jobs and are still unable to afford the costs of housing, let alone bills, health care or insurance. Recently the housing bubble burst. Coupled with a credit crisis this has led a skyrocketing number of people who have been forced to leave their houses due to foreclosure and overextension. The growing number of homeless and poverty stricken families needs to be addressed. Our society has an increasing tendency to push those who are down even further. Sometimes all you need is a hand up. These are hard working, respectable people who deserve a chance. |
